Portal to Portals---The Beginning:Chapter 6

"Oh, come on!" complained James. "You are the only one who has a phone!"
"And it looks like your lucky day," groaned Stacy. "It won't let me post it to Tumblr!"
She sighed. "I guess there's no wi-fi in here."
"Stop it, and get us out of here!?" complained James. "Stacy, try the ground-pound."
"Got it!" said Stacy. She leapt up to the ceiling, flipped, and pushed off with her feet, launching at 'David' and 'The Discus Player'.

That did it. The paint shattered quietly, and an unharmed James stepped out.
"Wait..." James looked around. "Where's Mark?"
"Down here," came a rasping voice. They all looked down to see Mark laying on the floor, lifeless.
"We got to get him to a doctor," said Maci, worried. "If we lose him, then we're nothing!"
"I know a place," said James. "It's right up the street, about 1,000,000,000 blocks up."
"How will we get there in time?" asked Kanm. "And how will we carry him?"
Suddenly, James saw a mini-van in the empty parking lot. He smiled. Maci knew what he was thinking.
     "You wouldn't dare," she said.

A minute later, James had ripped off the car door and had helped everyone on.
"Attention, everyone!" he said in his best announcer voice. "You are on the Emergency Express. Please keep seat-belts buckled while vehicle is in motion. If you don't, then you will surely fall off. And there might be some minor delays---"
"Stop announcing and just go!" complained Kanm.
"O.K., O.K.," he said, pushing the pedal to the metal. Just a couple of seconds the car shot down the road.
As soon as the van had gone out of sight, Mr. Mor had finished his experiments, and was heading back home; but to his surprise, his mini-van was gone.
He had no doubt who it was.
Meanwhile, the car ripped down the road at 150 mph, zooming past traffic lights, stop signs, and bicyclers.
"How are you doing that without getting caught?" asked Stacy, as they passed a police station.
"I'm natural," bragged James, as they passed a black car with some flashing lights. But then, suddenly, They heard someone shout, "Pull over!"
"Maybe I've lost my skill," sighed James, as he slowed down and slowly parked on the side of the road.
The police car also pulled over and the police officer came over. Stacy rolled down the window.
"Show your drivers licence please," said the officer.
"Oh, I don't have one," said Stacy. "But he does, he just left it at home."
     "Well gimme your address."
"We are just driving around, and I forgot our address. Sorry."
     "Where are you visiting?"
     "Here."
Suddenly, Mark broke in. He seemed to be recovering.
"You will ignore us," he said to the officer in a haunting voice. "You are tired of this conversation."
"I'll ignore you," said the officer. "I am getting tired of this conversation.
     The others gasped.
"This is messing up your schedule," said Mark.
"This is messing up my schedule," said the officer.
"It is time for your daughter's wedding in somewhere," Mark said. "You will be off."
"It is time for my daughter's wedding somewhere," said the officer. "I will be off!"
The officer left the van full of astonished children and drove off.
"How did you do that?" asked Stacy.
"The old trick-trick," he stammered, before he laid down again.
"Quick!" said Maci. "There's no time to lose!"
